A. Got me to vote for Obama.
Once February Obama turned into July Obama, I couldn't find any good reason to vote for either candidate. But McCain found a reason for me: Sarah Palin.
I still don't think Obama is the messiah or that McCain is satan. Neither of them has a universal health care plan. I really didn't think either of them could turn the economy around, and I still don't. Both of them were pandering to theocracy — Obama with "faith"-based funding, and McCain trying to get in bed with the various Elmer Gantrys. Both promise more war, only differing in where.
But John McCain is an old man — I find it hard to believe, but he is even older than I am. And the thought of Sarah Palin in the White House did it.
I held my nose and voted for the straight Democratic ticket (and where there was no Democrat, I voted for the Libertarian just to vote against the Republican.
